Iran’s Brutal Crackdown and Violence on Ahwazi Arabs

By Hossein Bouazar

A systematic repression that left hundreds dead.

As Iran’s economy clasping, the government of Iran is trying new ways to re-gain some money by increase the gasoline prices by 50 percent. Within the first few hours Iran witnessed one of the biggest protests in past four decade.

Iran regime stopped all internet connectivity to do what they do best, opening fire on unarmed protesters, shot and kill the protesters without any international consequences.

The idea behind blocking the internet was to stop people from organising more protests and to stop people from sending videos and photos of Iran’s brutal and unhuman crackdown on Ahwaz and other non-Persian nations within the current Iran.

While lots of things does not get cover by the Western news and newspaper, we the Ahwazi Centre for Human Rights trying to cover every aspect of this protest and the brutal crackdown.

Iran claims that protest wasn’t a civil protest but as you can see in this video the IRGC forces were breaking doors and windows to blame it on the protesters.

A letter from a Mahshahr citizen;

Mahshahr is one of the largest petrochemical complexes of Iran and even the Middle East with more than 5 petrochemical complexes and also having Imam Port has one of the largest commercial ports in Iran as well as one of the largest oil export ports in the country. More interestingly, Mahshahr is located between two rivers of Zohra and Jarahi and has a special agricultural and fishing position among the rest of Khuzestan….

From all that we do not get anything instead we got IRGC in Mahshahr with order of shot to kill, tank weapon and a military helicopter. They fired on ordinary people from the helicopter, dozens dead.

I beg the readers Please reflect and share this to get the international attention.

While reports such as “Iran: Death toll from bloody crackdown on protests rises to 208” is great prove to the world that Iranian regime is the true meaning of dictatorship.

How come such a murderous regime of Iran is able/acceptable to send representative to the U.N and other international events.

What it doesn’t make sense is that how and why are the European countries trying so hard to save Obama deal’s with Iran? The deal only helps Iran in the long term. The deal does not improve the human rights in Iran nor it help the economy to help Iranian people.

Credible Ahwazi sources confirmed that the Iranian authorities attacked at dawn, Wednesday, November 20, 2019. Iranian thugs (Iranian security forces) entered the houses and bedrooms and arrested a large number of young and elderly Ahwazi Arabs to create fear among Ahwazi people.

They transferred them to unknown location. The sources confirmed that the authorities threatened the families to extradite the family members.

On the other hand, Ahwazi Centre for Human Rights received the names of some of the detainees;

Also, Ahwazi Centre for Human Rights received the names of some of the protesters who were killed by the Iranian regime;

Martyr Hamzah (Mohammad) Abbas Al-Barihi, 17, was a hero of Al-Kwakha neighborhood in Ahwaz, the capital, which was martyred by the bullet of an Iranian intelligence agent.

The authorities must end this brutal and deadly crackdown immediately and show respect for human life.

We, the Ahwazi Centre for Human Rights (ACHR), concerns, while Ahwazi Arabs faced continued oppression and discrimination, the most significant human rights issues included a high number of executions for false confession and false crimes without fair trials of individuals. Torture; harsh and life-threatening prison conditions; arbitrary detention and imprisonment; of hundreds of political prisoners, are just few examples of how the Iranian regime violates the human rights.

We, the Ahwazi Centre for Human Rights (ACHR), strongly condemns Iran’s plan to execute Ahwazis. We are calling upon Mr. Javaid Rehman the United Nations special rapporteur for situation of human rights in Iran and Mrs Agnes Callamard the UN special rapporteur on extra-Judicial execution to intervene and stopping Iranian criminal regime from executing innocent prisoners that were arrested without any legal warrant.
