Human rights abuses and Human rights situation in Ahwaz

Ahwaz security forces shoots two young Arabs and they are in a critical condition at CCU.

The Iranian regime forces shoots two young Ahwazi Arabs and they were injured, Ahwazi Centre for Human Rights (ACHR) received a report they are in the CCU in critical condition.

Local witnesses say; Officers were from the police station 17 and were shooting at the two motorcyclists, Milad Abiyat and Ali Heydari. Ali was injured in the liver and kidney. A bullet hit his spine and doctors have not been able to retrieve the bullet from his back so far, according to relatives, his chances of being paralyzed are very high.

The Iranian occupation authorities have claimed that motorcyclists were shooting at the police but Ahwazi human rights activists, after tracking down and contacting the relatives of the wounded, and according to some residentials around Alawi (Hay al-Thwrah) district, they have not fired at Police officers and they were only present at the funeral ceremony and the police forces’ report turned out to be a false report.

We, the Ahwazi Centre for Human Rights (ACHR), strongly condemns Iran’s plan to execute Ahwazis in the military parade attack anniversary and/or any Iranian regime move towards executing Ahwazi defend less people and calls upon Mr. Javaid Rehman the United Nations special rapporteur for situation of human rights in Iran and Mrs Agnes Callamard the UN special rapporteur on extra-Judicial execution to intervene and stopping Iranian criminal regime from executing innocent prisoners that were arrested without any legal warrant.
