The Ahwazi Democratic Popular Front hold the Iranian intelligence services responsible for burning Nawras café in Althoura district, Al-Ahwaz.

On the 2nd of April 2018, Iranian intelligence services carried out a terrorist operation in one of the café of in Althoura district, a coward move and arson attack on Ahwazi people.

One of Iranian intelligence services blocked all doors to a café in Keyan suburb in Ahwaz, he used gasoline in order to burn everyone alive. He emptied a gasoline through the window into the shop and burned the place.

More than 20 Ahwazis were killed in this attack which was designed to terror and scare brave people of Al-Ahwaz. Ahwazi heroes made in to Day 6 of the Ahwazi uprising which has spread across the Ahwaz region. This brutal terrorist act is drawing the attention of our people to remind themselves that our land has been occupied for almost a century and that is why the intifada will continue stronger than ever.

The Ahwazi Democratic Popular Front extends its deepest condolences to the families of the martyrs and our brave resistance people. We also hold the Persian occupation and its intelligence services responsible for this cowardly terrorist act and call upon the international community and independent organizations to investigate this terrorist operation, especially since the Iranian authorities have carried out such terrorist acts since they came to power in Iran’s political geography. The beginning of the revolution in 1979, Cinema Rex was located in Abadan, which was set ablaze, killing at least 420 civilians.

We call on our brave young people to express condolences to the families of the martyrs and to preserve their national unity and to make the funeral a national march.

We call on our courageous people to expand their uprising to other cities and insist on its continuity in response to the crime that Persian occupation committed against our brave people of Al-Ahwaz.

We know for a fact that the Iranian authorities will arrest a number of young Ahwazis, torture them to get a forced confession on this cowardly terrorist act.

We urge all humanitarian, human rights organizations and international community to act now on crimes against Ahwazi Arabs and other non-Persian nations such as Kurds, Turks and Baloch and Turkmen.
